Visit from Grandma

My mom came to visit last week! YEAH! We had so much fun with her, and we can't wait for her to come back again. It rained almost the whole time she was here, but we still managed to do some fun things. She brought out Christmas presents for the kids, and the girls each received a sewing kit from her. They were so excited to get actual sewing things that she got them started on a quilt block and she taught them how to sew on a button.

On Friday night we went to Tilden Park in Berkeley to ride the carousel. Every December the carousel is decorated with lights and there is a large light display outside on the grounds. All around the carousel are decorated Christmas trees and ornaments for sale. As our carousel ride was slowing down, the power suddenly went out. A couple of decorated trees inside still had power, and the outdoor light display was still lit up. The employees quickly ushered everyone outside, but not before we quickly took a picture by one of the lit trees.

Happy Birthday Blueberry!

Yesterday was Blueberry's 7th birthday. She had such a great day! She took birthday treats to school, wore a new outfit, and had a special birthday dinner that she picked out - hot dogs, Sun Chips, and green salad. We had Rainbow Chip cake, sang Happy Birthday, and then opened presents. We love you, Blueberry!
